AboutThe building was constructed in 2001 and has been used since then by the Première Ligne association as a drop-in centre and injection facility. Taking just two months to complete, the extension provided additional floor space on both levels, making harmonious use of the existing modular wooden structure. The disappearance of the surrounding townscape into which the building formerly blended afforded an opportunity to take on a colourful new skin, with graphics proclaiming its special identity and role within the urban landscape. The project is a response to the association’s current needs whilst it awaits planning approval for more permanent premises home from the City of Geneva, the owner of the site.
