AboutThe Pregny-Chambésy Township holds it’s topological feature from a double visual opening towards the Jura Mountain to the north and towards the lake and the Alps to the south. The project incorporates itself in the continuity of the existing school, extending the strong horizontal line generated by the playground, and concluding it with a plaza, looking out to the Jura and the setting sun. This recreational space fits in the local heritage and identity gathering its inspiration from the various enclosures of the neighboring properties, alternately mineral and vegetal, as well as the refinement of Joseph Paxton’s greenhouses built in surroundings.
